Organic Feed Company poultry pellets provide a complete year-round feed
for free range hens and are small enough (2.5mm diameter) for bantams.
The pellets contain minerals (including calcium) and natural ingredients
to provide the vitamins and other nutrients needed for a good-sized egg
with a natural golden yolk and a fantastic taste. The Organic Feed Company
is the only company to use natural vitamin and amino acid sources rather
than synthetically manufactured ones and all products are Soil Association
approved. Although the Organic Feed Company does not produce feeds specifically
for waterfowl, their poultry feeds may also be fed to ducks, geese and
other waterfowl.
Organic production aims to avoid the use of artificial chemicals, pesticides
and fertilisers; it's good for the environment and looks after the soil.
It is good for you and your animals and poultry, shows commitment to animal
welfare and isn't really more expensive when you consider the hidden costs
of conventional food. In addition, the Organic Feed Company doesn't use
genetically modified ingredients, animal by-products, synthetic amino
acids, artificial flavours or colours, and it doesn't use medicinal additives
or solvent-extracted ingredients.
In the UK, anything that is labelled 'organic' must be certified by an
approved organisation, such as the Soil Association. Farmers and manufacturers
are subject to annual inspections, plus spot checks.
There is no conclusive proof that organic food is better for you, but
tests have found that organic produce can contain more nutrients than
non-organic equivalents.
